About Anna Erickson
Anna began her career at Gagosian Gallery in New York City in 2002 where she worked for seven years as a Sales Director, managing exhibitions for notable artists including Mike Kelley, Ghada Amer, Cecily Brown, and Damien Hirst, among others. Anna also worked for the gallery Haunch of Venison in Berlin, Germany as Director. There, she managed Damien Hirst's first large-scale exhibition in Berlin, as well as Yoko Ono’s first gallery exhibition in Germany. Anna returned to New York City to work for Hauser & Wirth in 2012, also as a Director, where she worked in sales and managed several gallery artists until 2017 when she became an independent sales consultant/dealer/advisor.
Anna has represented galleries at numerous art fairs, including: Art Basel Hong Kong, Basel, and Miami; Frieze London, New York; FIAC, Paris; West Bund Art Fair, Shanghai, TEFAF Maastricht, The Netherlands; and The Armory Show in New York. Her most notable sales include a large scale Louise Bourgeois Spider and along with world record prices for private sales Nicolas Party, Simone Leigh, George Condo among others. She has curated independent exhibitions at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, New York, Kino International in Berlin, Germany and in Miami in the Miami Design District.
Anna Erickson Presents debuted in 2021 with a solo artist presentation at Untitled Miami. Anna provides a collaborative and creative platform for each artist to create site-specific exhibitions that are memorable and dynamic experiences. Drawing from her extensive background managing world renowned artists and their exhibitions as well as working at notable art fairs, her mission is to establish a foundation for each artist to present their work to the global art world and local communities. Anna is dedicated to providing a positive and nurturing relationship with each artist.
Anna grew up in Chicago and Nashville and has also lived in New York City, Berlin and Miami. In Nashville she attended Harpeth Hall and University School of Nashville and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and Spanish from Arizona State University and earned a Master's Degree in Art Administration from FIT in New York City. She was a Founding Committee Member of Soho House Berlin. Anna is a proud single mother to a young daughter and she currently lives and works in Nashville, Tennessee. Anna is known for her friendly and professional nature, her discretion, her commitment to respectful and ethical art dealing, and her extensive network of global contacts.
