About the Artist

Sofía Muljat’s abstract paintings explore the flow of energy through depictions of lush scenes, giving form to both the tangible and metaphysical worlds. The artist works in oil on canvas, deconstructing color gradients and organic forms through her unique visual language. She is carried away by intuitive movements, creating her paintings with layers of translucent gestures. By combining elements of tension with fluid and harmonious brushstrokes, Sofía’s work fuses abstract expressionism with suggestions of figuration.

Sofía Muljat was born in 1999 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received her degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires. She has participated in exhibitions in Spain, Italy and Argentina, including shows at Tube Cultural Hall in Milan and Gachi Prieto Gallery in Buenos Aires. In 2023, she was an artist-in-residence at R.A.R.O in Barcelona. The artist lives and works in Argentina.
